Funimation Brings ‘The Honor at Magic High School’ Dub To Streaming Service


‘The Honor at Magic High School’ is a Japanese anime fantasy sequel directed by Hideki Tachibana from the production company Connect. It is a spin-off of ‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ and based on the web novel series by Tsutomu Satō. The new series began in July 2021 and was dubbed into English by Aniplex of America. Funimation recently announced that they will bring the dubbed version of the show to their streaming service.
“It’s Miyuki’s turn in the spotlight! Thanks to our partners at Aniplex of America and Bang Zoom! Entertainment, we’re excited to announce that The Honor at Magic High School English dub is officially coming to Funimation,” they write on their website. “[T]he first two episodes of The Honor at Magic High School English dub arrives on Funimation, which means it’s the perfect time to start this sister series to The Irregular at Magic High School if you haven’t jumped in yet.”
“The English cast of the series returns for the spin-off, including Anairis Quiñones (Horimiya, WONDER EGG PRIORITY) as Miyuki Shiba, Ryan Bartley (Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, The Promised Neverland) as Shizuku Kitayama and Kimberly Woods (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Sword Art Online Alicization) as Honoka Mitsui,” they add.

The synopsis follows, “A century has passed since magic – true magic, the stuff of legends – has returned to the world. It is spring, the season of new beginnings, and a new class of students is about to begin their studies at the First National Magic University Affiliated High School, nickname: First High.” They continue, “Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei (The Honor at Magic High School) follows the events of the original series as seen through the eyes of Miyuki Shiba, Tatsuya’s sister. The life of an honor student comes with a lot of expectations and unexpected hidden feelings.”
