‘Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan’ English Dub Cast Announced

‘Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan’ is a dark comedy anime production from Studio Blanc and directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama. The series kicked off in July 2021. It is based on an Ichijinsha manga series by Gaku Kuze. The show has been licensed by Funimation for a North American release through their streaming service.
Funimation also announced that they had recruited a cast for an English dub version that is to be released in late August 2021.
“You’re never too old for some good advice! We’re excited to announce that the Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan English dub is officially on its way to Funimation, and we have your first info on the cast and crew for the series,” they wrote on their website. “Episode 1 of the Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan English dub will arrive on Funimation, so if you’ve been waiting to watch this hilarious slice of life comedy (or just want to start again!), it’s almost time.”
They continue, “The English cast for the series includes Adam Gibbs (Chihayafuru, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) as Uramichi, Ray Chase (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Mob Psycho 100) as Usahara, Howard Wang (SK8 the Infinity, Gamers!) as Kumatani, Brandon McInnis (My Hero Academia, Dr. STONE) as Iketeru and Jessica Calvello (Attack on Titan, Listeners) as Utano.”
The cast also includes Eric Vale (Dragon Ball Z) as Derekida, Kevin Thelwell (Black Clover) as Edei, and Kent Williams (Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood) as God. Cris George will serve as ADR Director.
‘Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan’ follows “Uramichi Omota, a 31-year-old former professional gymnast, works as the leader of the exercise segment of the children’s show Together with Maman (a parody of Okaasan to Issho). Despite keeping an upbeat personality on the show, he can’t help but reveal his jaded, worn-out personality.”
