Disney brawl breaks out in Disney World's Avatar: Flight of Passage line
Two groups of guests threw punches in the Avatar Flight of Passage queue at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Sunday, after arguing for most of the 80-minute wait. A Reddit video caught it, and a sheriff’s call matches the scene.
Two groups of guests started swinging at each other in the line for Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Sunday.
Men and women both, throwing punches and shoving, right near the ride’s loading area. Someone filmed it and put it on Reddit, where it spread fast.
The fight didn’t come out of nowhere. According to the person who posted the video, the two parties had been arguing for much of the 80-minute wait, and it only turned physical once they got close to boarding.
Eighty minutes is a long time to marinate in a grudge.
What the Flight of Passage fight video shows
The clip runs a little over a minute. It shows the brawl already in progress and cuts off before any resolution, so what happened after isn’t clear from the footage alone.
There’s a detail that suggests it didn’t just fizzle out, though. WDW News Today, which reported the incident, found a call to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office logged at 11:21 AM that matches the location and the events.
The video is one guest’s account, but a sheriff’s call at the same spot and time is an independent record that something real happened, even if the exact outcome stays unconfirmed.
Disney hasn’t commented, and no arrests have been reported as of now.
Disney parks have seen a string of rowdy guest incidents in 2026
This isn’t a one-off. It’s the latest in a run of bad-behavior stories at the Disney parks this year.
In May, a guest was arrested at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for battery of cast members over a dining dispute. In June, a Florida woman was caught using her underage daughter to steal about $2,000 in pins from Walt Disney World.
Why it keeps happening is anyone’s guess. Long waits, high prices, summer heat, short fuses. A theme park sells a perfect day and then puts thousands of overheated people in an 80-minute line together, and some percentage of them are going to crack.
Disney’s Flight of Passage has a history of ugly queue moments
For all the talk about Flight of Passage being one of the best rides Disney ever built, its line has hosted some genuinely grim moments.
The most infamous came in 2019, when a man relieved himself inside the queue and another guest got caught in the splash. Compared to that, a fistfight is almost dignified.
Flight of Passage opened with Pandora in 2017 and still routinely pulls waits over an hour nearly a decade later. The ride keeps earning its lines. The lines keep testing everyone standing in them.
