'Teach You A Lesson' Is An Amazing KDrama And You Should Watch It!
This 10-Episode show is short but packs a punch!
I love K-dramas, and I watch many of them throughout the year. While I find some I like, I will tell everyone when I find one I love! That is where ‘Teach You a Lesson’ falls.
The show is short enough not to lose my interest, and each episode is a self-contained story with an overarching plot tied in. I think that is a strength for this show.
I am going to keep this as spoiler-free as possible!
What is “Teach You A Lesson” about?
‘Teach You A Lesson’ deals with school issues facing students, teachers, parents, and administrators. Topics range from bullying to drugs.
The overall story is about a teacher being killed, and her father and fiancé working together to create a task force -the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB).
Of course, the ERPB is not a real agency, but in the world of this show, it is.
The ERPB's job is to protect and defend “victims” of misconduct in schools. As a government agency, they often have permission to use whatever means necessary to correct behavior and “teach them a lesson". Usually this is done with a “taste of your own medicine” payback.
It is kind of similar to “Weak Hero” but more fun.
There is also a payoff each episode because they are mostly self-contained stories, and the subplot that weaves throughout is nicely wrapped up by the end.
If you love more action-packed shows, suspense, or high school comuppance, this one is for you.
The show is based on the Webtoon ‘Get Schooled’.
Solid 8.5/10
I would love it if this show got another season, and it’s set up so it easily could have more episodes, like ‘Weak Hero’ did.
A second season seems likely! I hope so!
‘Teach You A Lesson’ is available now on Netflix!
