Robert Rudolph Remus is one of the most recognizable people in professional wrestling. Regardless if you follow this particular form of entertainment, you’ll no doubt know who Remus’s alter ego is by his mirrored aviator sunglasses and Judge Dredd-like chin. Sgt. Slaughter was an icon in the ’80s, not only in the squared circle but also as a member of G.I. Joe.

Now, the unbreakable drill sergeant is back in toy form, thanks to Valaverse. Slaughter is joining the Action Force line of toys. He stands at 6″ tall and dons his iconic hat, glasses, and outfit very reminiscent of his wrestling uniform.

Slaughter is due out this month, but I have a feeling that the date may change given what time it is. Still, head on over to Big Bad Toy Store and scoop him up now for $31.99.

Slaughter comes with the following accessories and interchangeable parts:

  • Sgt. Slaughter figure
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Gun
    • Holster
  • Knife
    • Holster
  • 8 Interchangeable hands
  • Action Force figure base

Sgt. Slaughter had a surprisingly important role in G.I. Joe: The Movie. Due to Lt. Falcon’s incompetence, the young Joe is sent to the special drill instructor, Slaughter. His job was to whip Falcon into someone worthy of being a G.I. Joe. It’s a nice arc and something you wouldn’t expect from what was often branded as a long toy commercial.

I wonder if we’ll get a recolored Slaughter to match his Pro-Sadam dudes from 1990? During those years, that was a really spicy heel turn. I’m not kidding. I remember people being very, sincerely angry about that. I can’t imagine his fan mail at that time was kind at all.

What are your thoughts on Sgt. Slaughter’s resurrection in a toy line outside of the WWE? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
