‘Shine Post’ Anime Picked Up By Sentai Filmworks

Sentai Filmworks has picked up the North American distribution rights for the upcoming musical anime ‘Shine Post,’ from the Japanese animation company Studio Kai and director Kei Oikawa. The show is part of a multimedia project from Konami Digital Entertainment and Straight Edge. It includes a video game, manga, and light novel tie-in.
Sentai said on their website that “it has acquired exclusive rights to SHINEPOST, the beautifully crafted anime series based upon the light novel of the same name by Rakuda, author of ORESUKI: Are you the only one who loves me?” They added that the show will be part of their summer line-up.
The anime is set to be premiered in July 2022 with Sentai releasing it exclusively on the HiDive streaming service. It features music from Yasunori Nishiki and Tsubasa Ito. Yoshihiro Nagata is handling the character designs with Tatsuto Higuchi and Rakuda writing the series.
Voice actors Sayumi Suzushiro, Moeko Kanisawa, Yūko Natsuyoshi, Rimo Hasegawa, Rika Nakagawa, Yu Serizawa, Kurumi Takase, Miyu Kubota, Tomoyo Takayanagi, and Arisa Kōri are starring in the show.

Honeys Anime described the synopsis as follows,
“The idol unit TiNgS has big dreams, but they have little to show for their efforts. Kyoka Tamaki, Haru Nabatame, and Rio Seibu put their hopes in the hands of a manager who they’ve been told is the best around, but… what they got was the seemingly lazy Naoki Nissei. However, he does have one particular ability… Join the girls on the path that lights their way to becoming the best idols the world has ever known!”
The light novels are published by ASCII Media Works for their Dengeki Bunko imprint while the manga is released by Media Factory and serialized in the ‘Monthly Comic Alive’ magazine. The video game is produced by Akihiro Ishihara.
