‘Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation’ English Dub Cast Unveiled


‘Smile of the Arsnotoria’ is a mobile video game RPG developed by NextNinja and released by Good Smile Company. Liden Films produced an anime adaptation in 2022. It was directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa and written by Midori Gotō with Takahiro Kishida handling the character designs. Crunchyroll recruited an English cast to release in North America.
They announced the cast on their website:

  • Jad Saxton (Chika in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Ars
  • Dani Chambers (Reina in Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) as Mell
  • Bryn Apprill (Kotori in Date A Live) as Pica
  • Brianna Roberts (Miranjo in Ranking of Kings) as Abra
  • Sarah Wiedenheft (Lily in ZOMBIE LAND SAGA) as Voyniy
  • David Matranga (Yuichi in Tomodachi Game) as Zwingli

Emily Fajardo is working as the ADR director with the script being handled by Leah Clark.
“Grab yourself a cup of tea and settle in, because we’re about to drop into the magic academy city of Ashram for some sweet treats in the English dub of Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation, which will be conjured onto Crunchyroll on July 27,” they said.
Musicians and composers Ryo Takahashi and Ken Itō handled the music for the television version. The Japanese pop band Hanauta performed the theme song “Hajimari e to Tsuzuku Basho” with singer Miku Kobato’s solo song “With you” was made into the ending song.

MyAnimeList describes the synopsis as follows:
“This is the story of the fun-filled “daily life” of girls who strive to be true ladies, while being educated and trained in magic, and learning proper manners at the dorm-based magical academy city of Ashram.”
‘Smile of the Arsnotoria’ was also released as a manga series written and illustrated by Masaki Hattori from the Japanese publishing company Fujimi Shobo for their ‘Monthly Dragon Age’ magazine. Light novel illustrator Shin’ichirō Ōtsuka did the original character designs for the video game.
