The Mutant Assassin Psylocke Gets Her Own Premium Format Figure

I think a lot of people forget the complicated story behind X-MEN‘s Psylocke. You know, the whole Kwannon and Betsy Braddock bodyswap thing. It would make for an interesting MCU series if Disney stopped focusing time and money on things like Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. Maybe someday, when the Mouse needs to bring audiences back in, we’ll get that.
Regardless of whatever plans await her in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Psylocke continues to be a welcome presence in the collectibles market. Her iconic purple bodysuit and psionic energy weapons always make for dynamic art pieces. Such is the case with Sideshow Collectibles’ newest Premium Format Figure.
Purple suit? Check. Psionic blade? Check. Katana? Check. Hot as hell? Double-check! This statue of Psylocke measures 21″ tall and comes with a few display options in the form of interchangeable arms/weapons. Psylocke can either be reaching for her katana or brandishing a psionic dagger with her right hand.
The PFF is priced at $625 and will ship between April and July of next year.

The polystone Psylocke Premium Format Figure is fully sculpted and features a dynamic paint application created with the scene’s thematic lighting in mind. She wears her iconic ’90s blue bodysuit with a large red sash fluttering from her waist. Psylocke also carries a sheathed katana, her left hand resting on the weapon in anticipation of her next strike. This skilled mutant fighter also comes with a swap-out right arm reaching to draw her katana blade, adding to her arsenal of display options. With detail at every angle of the sculpt, this Marvel Comics collectible is sure to be the centerpiece in any collection!

I totally forgot that Psylocke appeared in the Apocolypse X-Men movie. I mean, it’s Olivia Munn … so there’s nothing memorable about that. Unfortunately, she also appeared in X-MEN 3. The only way you’d know is if you listened to Brett Ratner’s commentary track.
She appears for a few seconds as an evil mutant (for whatever reason), and that’s it. I believe she’s also sporting the mark over her eye that she had in the comics after her vicious battle with Sabertooth.
