The Razzies Honor Bruce Willis With His Own Category

‘Die Hard’ actor Bruce Willis has received many nominations for his work in cinema and has won several including a Golden Globe, two People Choice Awards, Primetime Emmy’s, and Blockbuster Entertainment Awards. For 2021, he is getting a different kind of honor for the eight films he made that year. For this year’s ceremony, Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as the Razzies, is gifting ‘The Sixth Sense’ actor with his own category.
The ‘Worst Bruce Willis Performance in a 2021 movie’ will be included in the Razzies according to an NME report. ‘American Siege,’ ‘Apex,’ ‘Cosmic Sin,’ ‘Deadlock,’ ‘Fortress,’ ‘Midnight In The Switchgrass,’ ‘Out Of Death,’ and ‘Survive The Game’ are all included with the category with ‘Breach,’ ‘Hard Kill,’ and ‘Survive the Night’ also garnering a Worst Supporting Actor for Willis.
“Here’s a look at what we saw … the excruciating musicals, thrill-free thriller rip-offs, a nearly 2 hour product placement flick, and more Bruce Willis than any starving viewer could stomach. In other words, 2021 did not fail the Razzies,” They said on their website.
‘The Last Boy Scout’ is not alone with the nomination as they continue, “Acting nominees include an otherwise great actress, Amy Adams (with nods for both Woman in the Window and Dear Evan Hansen); LeBron James, who most likely dunked his chances for basking in the cinema limelight by starring in Space Jam 2; And a Razzie Regular whose appearance in no less than EIGHT titles in 2021 bagged him a category all to himself (Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie).”
This is not the first time that the Razzies have nominated Bruce Willis for a Golden Raspberry. He was nominated for ‘Worst Actor’ in 1992 (‘Hudson Hawk’) which he won, 1995 (‘Color of Night,’ ‘North’), 1999 (‘Armageddon,’ ‘Mercury Rising,’ ‘The Siege’) which he also won. He also garnered a win in 2020 for Worst Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Glass.’
