Hiya Toys Celebrates 35 Years Of RoboCop With A New Action Figure

Come on, Sal. The Tigers are playin’ tonight! Hiya Toys is releasing another 6″ Robocop figure! This time it’s classic Murphy from the first film. He’s ready to raid a drug factory and throw Clarence Boddicker through a few windows.
Based on the promotional photos, it looks like this figure has some enhanced articulation that lets him properly weird the high-powered sniper rifle. The cybernetic law enforcement officer also comes with interchangeable mouthpieces, a battle-damaged chest plate, and a battle-damaged helmet. His other accessories include the Auto-9, multiple hands (data spike, too!), and a base with an articulated posing arm.
Of course, all this does come at a price. So get ready to pony up $89.99 if you want this version of RoboCop. He’s currently up for pre-order over at the Big Bad Toy Store. The expected release date is February 2023.
There’s no shortage of RoboCop figures coming out this year. Previously, we’d reported on the SDCC exclusive battle-damaged Murphy and ED-209 boxset and the upcoming NECA RoboCop with Peter Weller’s likeness under the helmet.

As you can tell, Robocop won’t feature Peter Weller’s likeness. Kind of a bummer. Another interesting thing is Murphy comes with what looks like two differently scaled Auto-9 pistols. The bigger one may be specifically for the firing effect attachment, while the smaller one is probably when he stores the firearm in his thigh compartment.
Here’s what you’ll get with Robo:

  • 3 Mouth parts
  • 4 Pairs of hands
  • Interchangeable helmet
  • Interchangeable chest
  • Gun blast effect
  • Bullet effect
  • Sniper rifle
  • 2 Auto-9 pistols
  • Stand

Compared to the NECA RoboCop that came out years ago, the Hiya one looks far superior. Then again, with a $40 difference in price, it should. What do you think of this figure? Let us know below.
